Hitting the pause button

Hello, dear fellow gamers! Hope you're all doing fine, and gaming like it's going out of fashion. Alas, this is not the case for me; I'm so busy right now that I just cannot find the time to play games, let alone blog about them. And thus I'm writing to let you know that there won't be much new material here in the weeks to come. I'll get back to the grind as soon as I can; until then, take care!

  1. Real life can really interfere with gaming

    1. It sure can! :D And never more than right now. I honestly don't think I've had that many balls in the air in the last five years! It's pretty insane; but I console myself by thinking of how good it will feel to play games again when that crazy storm of activity is over. Take care as well! ^^

  2. Take care! About to get really busy for me too, due to Christmas being killer for my job, and I already barely have enough time for anything but two yugioh duels a day. Gonna reduce that to one.

Hopefully January is a slow month for both of us. A shame you don't have a TV, since I had a similar situation last year, and FF XIII was the PERFECT game for it. By the time things slowed down, I had gotten to the "fun" part of the game and spent 160 hours getting the platinum trophy.

Touch My Katamari for the Vita is good too, if you have 10 minutes during lunch hour and not much mental energy for anything else. Only other game I've been playing. Touch controls are actually good for that type of game. The soundtrack alone is garanteed to make you smile.

    1. I've been working years in an industry that has crazy intense peaks of activity around Christmas, so I know EXACTLY how you feel. Like, first-hand and in my flesh and bones :D The only thing I can say is: hang in there, and good luck! ^^

January doesn't shape up to be much slower for me; in fact, the whole year 2020 will probably be a seriously busy one as far as I'm concerned. However, I should be able to sneak in a bit of gaming in my daily life. My posting rhythm will certainly slow down as a result, but that's a necessary evil. As long as I don't stop completely, it's fine. ^^

      Take care in december! ^^

  3. I know that feel. Don't force yourself. There's plenty of other entertainment out there besides video games!

    1. To be fair, I don't even have that much time for other entertainment... Or for entertainment, full stop. :P Fortunately, things should become more stable in january, and I should be able to get a bit of gaming back into my life with some good planning and time management.
